Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Snowstorms, Lightning Strikes, Wind Storms and Flood are some of the natural disasters that can strike a business depending on the season.  Are you prepared for a disaster?

Do you have an emergency plan in place?  Hurricane season starts June 1 and runs through November.  Now is the time to start developing your disaster plan and implementing it to protect your business…. your livelihood.   1 in 4 businesses close due to unpreparedness when a disaster strikes.

First and foremost, the safety of your employees, customers and yourself should be priority.   Encourage your employees to have their own personal plan for themselves and their family.

Have a plan for how employees are to report emergencies, evacuate facilities, and life safety equipment maintenance.  That is only the beginning of preparedness. Below is the link to a checklist from the IBHS (Institute of Business and Home Safety)
